Start with one real reader problem
A guide must help a reader complete a defined task. We prefer an inspectable dataset, decision table or error diagnosis to a collection of generic tips. We do not publish near-identical articles to fill a schedule or manipulate search engines.
Use primary sources
Microsoft and Google documentation are our first references for function syntax, supported products and app behavior. Each guide links its sources and states its verification scope. Product details may change; a link check does not establish that every interpretation remains current.
Separate expected results from observations
A manually calculated or JavaScript-checked example is an oracle for that input, not a report that Excel or Google Sheets ran the formula. When a native application test is performed, we identify the app, version, conditions and result. If it was not performed, we say so. We do not turn fictional examples into real client stories.
Check boundaries before publication
We review range dimensions, exact versus approximate matching, text versus numeric values, dates and timestamps, empty or missing values, and locale differences where relevant. We give the reader steps to repeat the example on a copy of their own data.
AI assistance and attribution
AI assists with research organization, drafting, editing, software and test preparation. “GuideHollow Sheets Editorial” identifies responsibility for the publication. It does not imply professional certification, a named expert's review, or native product testing we did not carry out.
Dates, corrections and the learning record
Dates identify preparation and material revisions; first public release is recorded when the live site can be verified. Each initial guide has an individual quality record in the repository and the network's shared Notion records. Subsequent approved articles use that same shared queue, with site-specific routing and publication limits.
Report an error through Contact. Accepted material corrections should explain the change and update the guide's revision date. The repository preserves source history; cosmetic edits do not imply new formula tests.
Commercial independence
No advertisements, analytics trackers, paid placements or affiliate links are active on this site. Any future commercial relationship must be disclosed near the relevant content. Advertising would require separate account-scope and privacy review; another GuideHollow site's configuration is not automatically applicable here.
General educational scope
Our examples use fictional data. Keep originals and backups, review results, and follow your organization's rules. Guidance does not replace qualified advice or responsibility for a consequential spreadsheet decision.
