Templates

Small, transparent starting points you can inspect.

A small example you can take apart

Our templates begin with transparent practice data, rather than opaque workbooks or macros. Download the sample below, keep an unchanged copy, and choose a task before opening it in a spreadsheet app.

Download the fictional sales CSV. It contains four records with region, status, and numeric revenue. There is no personal or customer data.

A check before you build

The two North / Closed records contain 240 and 360, so their total is 600. The South / Closed record and the North / Open record must not contribute. Compare your own formula with that expectation before adapting it to real data.

This example is manually calculated and checked in an automated arithmetic assertion. It is not an Excel or Google Sheets execution report. CSV import may reinterpret fields; use an import dialog and choose column types deliberately.

Build the next step yourself

Use the SUMIFS date guide for criteria design, the CSV import guide to preserve identifiers, or the Formula Finder for a small syntax example. Keep your source data separate from calculations and inspect edge cases before copying a formula across a larger sheet.

Additional full-workbook templates will be listed here when they have a defined purpose and verifiable results. We do not label unfinished downloads as tested templates.
